Math Simulator - your companion to mathematics...

Solving Simultaneous Linear Equations

Math Simulator uses a  series of methods to generate Solutions to Simultaneous Linear Equations involving upto 9 unknowns ( they can be increased, limit is only the system resources ).
The various methods used by Math Simulator to implement this are :
  •  Matrix Method
  • Gauss Jordan Method
  • Gauss Jacobi Method
  • Gauss Seidel Method
However, all these methods provide similar solutions but the number of iterations and approach is different in each of them.  And as a policy, Math Simulator provides not only the solution of Simultaneous Linear Equations, but also provides you with the intermediate results required by the students or by professionals.
Matrix Method and Gauss Jordan Method are usually applied directly and always provide a solution to the equations. But, Gauss Jacobi and Gauss Seidel methods are applicable iff the given equations are providing a diagonally dominant matrix ( which is a required condition for these methods to be applied. )
